Cycling Coaching Packages

Rowe & King offers cycling coaching services – an opportunity to be coached in the sport of cycling, utilising the extensive experience gained by former Team Sky / INEOS Grenadiers Road Captain Luke Rowe, Olympic Champion Dani Rowe and the rest of the Rowe & King team.

We won’t over complicate the sport and we will certainly not blind you with jargon. What we will do, is provide you with tried and tested cycling training that translates to performance improvement.

You don’t have to be a professional, or even compete. If you have a goal in cycling which you want to work towards, whether it be completing a sportive, performing in a specific race, simply getting up climbs faster with friends, or aspire to follow in the footsteps of Luke and Dani – Rowe & King can equip you with the cycle training you need to achieve.

Critically, we will work with the resources you have available. Whether that be working with power, heart rate or feel – each of these measures have their own benefits and each of them are viable!

HOW IT WORKS!

Consultation

This is a detailed consultation to get to know you as a person and a cyclist.

Set-up

You will be registered with Rowe & King, and provided with your own Training Peaks account.

Training

Your prescribed training will be available in Training Peaks for you to view and complete. Revisions to training plans will be made throughout the month, based on your feedback and change in circumstance (e.g. illness, available time or personal commitments).

Feedback

Data analysis and feedback will be provided.

Review

Formal monthly review to ensure you are getting the most out of your training.

This is a detailed consultation to get to know you as a person and a cyclist.

You will be registered with Rowe & King, and provided with your own Training Peaks account.

Training

Your prescribed training will be input into and will be available on Training Peaks for you to view. Revisions to training plans will be made throughout the month, based on your feedback and change in circumstance (e.g. illness, available time or personal commitments).

Feedback

Your coach will provide you feedback and be responsive to your questions via WhatsApp.

Review

Quarterly formal review to ensure you are getting the most out of your our approach to your training.

Review

Your training and our approach is constantly reviewed, checked and challenged by the wider Rowe & King coaching team.

Coaching is educated guessing, and through challenging each other, we are able to be more confident with the approach we are taking with your training.

  • Establishment of your ‘training zones’ to enable training to target specific attributes

You will be provided with a Training Peaks account, which details your Training Plan.

Training, Review & Feedback

Via half-way review call to review your training completed so far, provide feedback and look forward to the coming month.

  • A one-off bespoke plan, to help you train towards your goal – typically 3-4 months worth of training
  • Half-way consultation to review the first half of your training plan, then discuss and plan the second half
  • Training Peaks account with contains your training plan detailing daily training, which acts as your training diary

Pre-Screening

Complete the online form to help us gain a clear understanding of your goals and build a rider profile.

Initial Consultation

Book in for a one to one skype / facetime / call with our sports nutritionist, Ben to discuss your goals and look at where we can assist you.

Dietary Analysis

Complete a three-day food diary toallow us to gain an insight into your current diet and highlight areas where we can optimise it.

Nutrition Plan

Based on the information we’ve gathered from the previous steps we’ll establish clear goals and provide you with all the information you need as an individual to achieve them, in food based terms with a plan built around your training and preferences.

Ongoing coaching support & accountability

Ongoing coaching support & accountability – we’re on hand to help provide you with advice and support, where necessary, to ensure you achieve the goals you’ve set out and help you develop a more in-depth understanding of sports nutrition.
