Matt Rowe

Business Manager

At the age of 9, Matt was given a bike for Christmas, which was the start of his love for cycling. Racing as a kid alongside brother, Luke – cycling became a major part of Matt’s childhood.

At the age of 16, Matt was selected for the British Cycling Olympic Development Programme (ODP), where he represented Great Britain all round the world, including the World Junior Road and Track Championships.

Matt’s best achievement in cycling was becoming European Scratch Race Champion as a junior in 2005, at the outdoor velodrome in Fiorenzuola, Italy.

After failing to make selection for the Great Britain Academy (U23) programme, due to illness (Glandular Fever), Matt turned his focus to education, where he went to Cardiff University to study Business Studies a passion of his.

Matt spent 8 years in the corporate world (Insurance and Banking), before setting Rowe & King, which launched
12th May 2015.

Matt currently races regularly for an amateur cycling team – Team Ale, having won at least one race every year
since the age of 9!

Matt, Courtney, Luke and Dani have without really realising it, been offering coaching and advice, informally to cyclists for the last 8 years or so. With experience within the family – it seemed an obvious step to take in formalizing our efforts in Rowe & King, where we can now offer some of the best advice and guidance available to cyclists all around the world.
